Both buses will leave Bata and return to the Terminal via the West Bank route. Finally, don't forget your 2011-2012 Transit Pass will be valid until September 21st, 2012. Questions or concerns can be directed to bus@trentcentral.ca. Thank you everyone, and have a great summer!

This past September, the TCSA took over the administration of Transit at Trent University from the Office of Student Affairs. Improvements were made immediately, such as the Transit Pass extension through the summer, but we want to make more, and we need your help! This is your opportunity to let us know how to improve the transportation service to meet the needs of Trent Students Not only will completing the survey help us construct a better service, but you will have a chance to win a new BlackBerry PlayBook! Responses will be collected until March 16th, 2012.

In order to address accessibility for Trent students, staff and faculty, the TCSA and Peterborough Transit were asked to incorporate into the East Bank service a stop at the DNA Building. Beginning January 7th, with the weekend service, the new DNA stop will come into effect. The new service route will see the bus travel past Pioneer Road (current route to Gzowski) and continue instead on Nassau Mills Road to East Bank Drive (Otonabee College entrance). The bus will continue along this road up to the DNA Building stop before continuing to Gzowski.
This accommodation will increase the time of the outbound trip (terminal to Trent) by 5 minutes. This increase in trip time means we can no longer run a nice "every twenty minutes" schedule for the East Bank, so please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the new schedule. The addition of a DNA stop impacts the East Bank, West Bank (late night buses), weekend and holiday schedules. All new schedules are now posted at trentcentral.ca. Please feel free to email bus@trentcentral.ca with any questions or concerns with this new service and we will address and adjust things where possible. We ask for your patience with the new schedules as we work out conflicts that may arise.
Please note that the TCSA office will be closed starting December 23rd and will reopen on January 9th. Thank you everyone, and have a fantastic holiday! Read more...

Opt out cheques for the TCSA Health and Dental Benefits Plan are still available for pick-up in the TCSA office, Champlain College room S110. All TCSA members who opted out of the plan this year, or had opt out status carried forward from last year, are entitled to a refund. These cheques will become stale dated and therefore void come April, so please grab your cheque today before the craziness of Spring (yes, it is out there somewhere) takes over and things are forgotten! Not sure if you have a cheque waiting for you or think you may have asked for a direct deposit? Don't hesitate to ask! Questions: benefits@trentcentral.ca.
The TCSA Health and Dental Benefits Opt-out cheques will be distributed in the Great Hall, Champlain College, on Wednesday November 9th, and Thursday November 10th from 10am-4pm. TCSA members (full time undergraduate and consecutive education students) who opted out of the Health and/or Dental Benefits plan will be eligible to pick-up their cheque at these times. Please bring your student card or transit pass to receive your cheque; students without proper student ID will be asked to pick-up their cheque the following week. Students unable to pick up their cheque during the above scheduled times can do so in the TCSA office, Champlain College, until April 2012. Those requesting a direct deposit will receive their refund by week’s end.
The Gardasil vaccination is not back on the TCSA Benefits Plan; it is not a covered vaccination. The TCSA has contributed financially towards the purchase of the Gardasil Vaccination, so that Health Services at Trent could run a HPV Vaccination Clinic. Students on the TCSA Benefits Plan are eligible, through this clinic, to receive the vaccination at 60% off the normal cost. Students not attending these clinics will not be eligible to submit the cost of the vaccination through Claimsecure (the Health and Dental Benefits provider). Students interested in receiving this discount should contact Trent Health Services.
