The Centre for Women and Trans People is so excited to invite you to our first event of 2021, happening over zoom on Thursday, October 7th from 7pm to 9pm.

Join us for a facilitated discussion with Debbie Owusu Akeeyah (Executive director of The Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity) and Fae Johnstone (Executive Director, Wisdom to Action Network) on the rise and impacts of TERF Rhetoric in Canada.

Both Debbie and Fae have been involved in advocating for the rights of Trans folks at a national level as well as being involved in educational campaigns to reduce stigma and fight anti-trans hate. Our board member, Thuan Huynh, will be facilitating this talk regarding TERF rhetoric, how to spot it and what can be done to fight the negative impact it has on Trans folks in Canada.
