The TCSA has worked to design and implement a reasonably priced Student Benefits Plan to provide you with comprehensive coverage and to save you money. All Trent University Peterborough and Durham students, as well as graduate, George Brown Nursing, and ESL students, are eligible for this health and dental plan. Web only students are not automatically billed the cost of plan but have the option to opt in.

Peterborough students starting in September or January who are billed for 0.5+ credits in their starting term will automatically be charged for this plan with their tuition and ancillary fees, and will receive coverage from September 1 to August 31 (September-start students). May-start students and Study Abroad students are not automatically charged for this plan and have the option to opt-in to this plan (September, January, or May-start students). Information on deadlines and how to opt-in to add dependents can be found by visiting the Trent Student VIP benefits website.

How to Use the Plan:

Prescription drugs, vision care, dental, specialized practitioners, and more are covered by your Trent Student Benefits Plan. Coverage allowances can be found in the TCSA office or on our Trent Student VIP benefits website.

Bring your Student Benefits Card with you to easily access your plan number and to allow for electronic billing of your drug and dental claims. Pick up your Student Benefits Card in the TCSA office or download one from the Trent Student VIP benefits website.

Your health and dental claims, both past and current, can be managed through the Medavie BlueCross portal or by downloading the Medavie BlueCross mobile app. You can easily submit claims, set up direct deposits, edit personal information, and view claims status and history.
