Join chef, activist and author, Joshna Maharaj, and the coordinator of the Trent Vegetable Gardens, Emma Macdonald, for a tour and discussion of all things campus food.
Take part in a guided tour of the Trent Vegetable Gardens, a half-acre organic garden dedicated to youth skill-building, community engagement and agricultural education.
Discuss the role of student and community garden spaces in the food justice movement and learn about the work being done at Trent to increase student food access and inspire the next generation of growers.
Get your hands dirty and help harvest root vegetables for a stone soup event the following day.
There is no cost to participate, and no prior gardening experience required.
