Escaping Tomorrow’s Cages will lead an informative and interactive workshop about the biggest wave of prison expansion in decades in order to start thinking of ways to stop it.

Ontario is building five new prisons and expanding several others, particularly targeting women, Indigenous people, and people with mental illnesses.

People do not belong in cages! Once a prison is built, it is there to stay. The best time to oppose prison is before they are built.
