Uncomfortable Conversations With Ashley Fellow Chúk Odenigbo

  • TCSA 1680 West Bank Drive, Trent Student Centre 2.15, Trent University Peterborough Canada (map)

Join Lady Eaton College and Gzowski College for a conversation between students and student leaders, as we head into Black History Month. The goal of our series is to have mediated but open conversation about hard topics.

Thursday, February 2nd at 1pm in the Lady Eaton College Senior Common Room

This time we'll welcome a special guest, Chuk Odenigbo, a researcher and activist in climate justice and equity with a lens of anti-racism and ancestral accountability.

Discussion topic: how do Trent leaders (students and staff) who are not Black best lift up and support Black student leaders in a month of intense event planning? What kind of help is the best kind of help?  How can they continue to support Black students and community members on campus, beyond February?

Uncomfortable conversations provide an opportunity for mediated but open conversations—sometimes about hard topics.
