Join the First People House of Learning for a Métis Celebration in honour of Louis Riel Day on November 15, from 11:00am to 3:00pm in The Gathering Space.
Starting at 11:00 am, we will be screening "Métis Hunt for Justice, The Powley Story." Followed by a lunch of Bison burgers, lattice fries, seasonal vegetables, wild rice pudding and bannock and jam!
At 1:00 pm, we will be learning about finger-weaving and beading. At 2:00 pm, we will be joined by the Tkaronto Métis Jiggers for a music and dance workshop! Come on by and get jiggy.
