Youth as Agents of Change series continues with this fourth and final installation for the fall semester: “Nurturing Our Relation to Place in Education” on November 19th at 12pm-1pm via Zoom.
In a globalized world, place-based education calls folks to learn intimately with and about place. By emphasizing outdoor and experiential learning, place-based education is a practice of thinking globally and learning locally. As community members, activists, and educators, it is important to continually engage in place-based education to participate in various ways of knowing and promote justice and solidarity locally and globally.
During International Education Week, join KWIC, Trent International, Champlain College and Trent Community Research Centre to explore place-based education—what it is and why it is so valuable. This event encourages participants to reflect and share their unique experiences with place, knowledge and activism and we invite you to join the conversation with questions, comments and interactive participation.
Register via Eventbrite by November 18th to participate. Zoom details to be sent via registration email November 18th. Registration link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/youth-as-agents-of-change-nurturing-our-relation-to-place-in-education-tickets-128550757777
