This event is in celebration of the Ontario Public Interest Research Group of Peterborough (OPIRG)’s annual Dis-Orientation Week. We are excited to welcome you for a quick virtual tour of the KWIC E.Y.E - Education | Youth | Environment at the beginning of this event. Through the generous support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation, Trent University and community partners, we have recently renovated the KWIC E.Y.E! We are located within the Trent School of the Environment, ESC B101 at Trent University, East Bank. This is an inclusive, creative space that connects youth to a place of belonging and opportunities to explore solutions to complex issues impacting their lives and future.  

Social justice arts, and arts for social justice builds community, and inspires individuals to promote social change. We are inviting you to experience the artistic expressions of local youth and community members, including poetry, spoken word, and music.  

There will be performances by Will Ward, KWIC Program Facilitator, Shaelyn Wabegijig, KWIC Program Coordinator, Adrian Lowe, Sarah Lewis, and Glen Caradus. Welcome and Land Acknowledgement by Sarah Lewis, Anishnaabe Kwe (Ojibwe/Cree) spoken word artist from Curve Lake First Nation, Ontario.
