Winter Clubs & Groups Day: Registration Open

The TCSA holds Clubs & Groups Day once per semester, during which student clubs and groups at Trent can set up a display booth and interact with students in high traffic areas.

This is a popular event and a great opportunity for all Trent students to see the wide variety of clubs and groups and activities available on campus. Join a club, or choose a few!

Winter Clubs and Groups Day will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 from 10am to 4pm in the Student Centre. Interested clubs and groups can register to reserve a spot by clicking here.

Updates to Trent Express, Effective January 4, 2020

The TCSA is happy to announce that we have updated the Trent Express West Bank and East Bank transit services in order to bring you more frequent service. These changes will begin January 4, 2020 and are reflected in the new printed schedule, which can be picked up in the TCSA office, as well as the digital schedule, which can be viewed and downloaded at our website: trentcentral.ca/transit

The updates to service are as follows:

  • Weekday (Monday to Friday) West Bank and East Bank service has been increased to operate every 20 minutes after 10pm, rather than every 40 minutes.

  • The Reading Week and Holiday schedule has been increased to operate every 40 minutes, rather than every 1 hour and 20 minutes.

In addition, we would like to report that:

  • The re-routing of the West Bank to enter campus from Woodland Drive between 7:40am and 9:40am has proven to be highly effective in eliminating the traffic congestion at main campus gates and ensuring buses stay on schedule. We will continue with this route Monday to Friday mornings during peak traffic hours.

  • We are working with Peterborough Transit, the City of Peterborough, and Selwyn Township to implement a transit route that will service Lakefield, Bridgenorth, Ennismore, and Curve Lake via Trent University. There will be pop-up information sessions in the Student Centre in January 2020, as well as opportunities for students to answer surveys to determine transit needs in these areas.

Any questions regarding transit can be emailed to bus@trentcentral.ca. Thank you to the students who continue to support us so that we can bring you important services. It’s here because we’re here, and we’re here because you care.

Transit: Updates to Trent West Bank Route

Please see the following updates to the Trent West Bank bus, effective September 2019:

  1. From Monday to Friday, the West Bank runs that depart the Terminal between 7:40am and 9:20am will enter Symons Campus through Woodland Drive and the back "P" parking lot, in order to avoid heavy traffic congestion at the main entrance to campus. These routes will continue to use Bata Library as the turnaround point, returning to the terminal as usual. Please note that this means the stops at Blackburn Hall and Trent Athletics Centre will not be serviced heading into campus.

  2. The West Bank mid-point stop has been changed from Parkhill Road to the stop at Argyle St + Water St, on the outbound route from the Terminal to Campus. The mid-point stop inbound from Campus to the Terminal remains the same at Parkhill Rd + George St.

As always, please leave extra time when travelling to campus to account for traffic delays, construction, or any extenuating circumstances.
