Stone Soup Community Meal

  • TCSA 1680 West Bank Drive, Trent Student Centre 2.15, Trent University Peterborough Canada (map)

Register for LEC & The Seasoned Spoon’s Stone Soup Community Meal on Tuesday, November 9th from 2pm-4pm!

Join Joshna Maharaj to make Stone Soup! The story of which has many variations, but all illustrate the power of a community to come together around food. Come down to the LEC South Field to chop some veggies, learn from Joshna's experience with nourishing communities, and have a nice meal with some new and old friends.

With contributions from community producers and campus partners such as the Trent Vegetable Gardens, the BIPOC Growing Collective, the Seasoned Spoon and the Planet we will bring many ingredients together to create a beautiful soup. If you would like to contribute an ingredient or a portion of the meal please email eaton@trentu.ca so we can plan ahead, but you are most welcome to attend to chop some veggies, learn from Joshna's experience with nourishing communities and have a nice meal with some new and old friends.

Members of the Trent and Peterborough community are welcome, but you must screen prior to coming to campus and ALL (students included) will be asked to present proof of vaccination to participate. This is an outdoor event, but masks are requested unless you are eating and distanced from each other.

Register by clicking here.
