It's back!
The 5K Colour Run is held each year by the Trent Central Student Association during Trent Orientation Week in the first week of September. This is a non-competitive fun run through Trent's beautiful campus, and it is open to all ages. Students, staff, faculty, and Peterborough community members are encouraged to participate.
On Saturday, September 7, 2019, run, jog, or walk the route that takes participants from West Bank to East Bank. Each kilometre is marked by a colour station, where participants will get covered in bright, colourful, non-toxic colour powder.
Registration for the Colour Run costs $25 and includes a race day t-shirt and the chance to win some great prizes from local businesses. You can register online through our Eventbrite link: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/tcsa-5k-colour-run-tickets-67768026993
Check-in and t-shirt pick-up on race day will begin at 11:00am on upper Bata Podium, followed by a warm-up beginning after 11:30am.
This year, the proceeds from this event will be donated to the YES Shelter for Youth and Families downtown Peterborough. YES helps youth and families in Peterborough lead full and positive lives by providing shelter, education and transitional support. YES provides emergency shelter to hundreds of youth and families in crisis-any time, every day of the year. You can find out more information about YES on their website: www.yesshelter.ca
We would like to thank our sponsors and our friends at Wild Rock, Fontaine's Source for Sports, YES Shelter for Youth and Families, and Runner’s Life for their support and contributions to this event.
