Nutrition Workshop for Varsity Athletes

On Tuesday, October 10th, from 11:00am to 12:00pm, Trent Central Student Association and Trent Health in Motion are hosting a Nutrition Workshop for varsity athletes, tailored to help you make the most of your diet and meals to help you excel in your sport.

We will have a dietitian on hand to provide expert guidance. As an extra treat, the Seasoned Spoon is catering a dietary-friendly meal for those in attendance.

50 spots available. Held in the Student Centre Event Space. Free for Trent undergrad students.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the role of nutrition in supporting athletic performance

  2. Identify key differences in energy metabolism between anaerobic (strength and sprint) and aerobic (endurance) training

  3. Outlining pre and post practice/game nutrition and hydration considerations

  4. Plan a competition day meal, appropriate for their personal discipline

  5. Name 3 reliable resources/tools to support nutrition for athletes
